Wednesday night Shih Han and I celebrated our birthdays by seeing a performance of South Pacific. Upon leaving the performance we received an unexpected gift-- news that Katherine Elizabeth (Bessie) Galbraith-Chan was born twelve time-zones away on October 30th at 11:13 am in Jakarta, Indonesia.
