We are staying Austin while we wait for Texas and New York to process the paperwork that will allow us to go home. We're making the best of it. We are visiting our favorite places from our time in Austin-- mostly restaurants.
This morning we woke up and opened presents. We didn't bring anything down with us because we weren't sure whether the adoption would go through. Over the past two days we bought a few things for Bessie. The best was a set of animal stamp blocks and a sketch book. Bessie stamps the book, colors in the animal then writes a brief story.
Bessie also got a new Olivia t-shirt.
Charlie got a Texas onesie-- he is a native Texan after all.
Following a tradition we established a few years ago, after opening presents we went out for dim sum.
The day was so exhausting that Papa and Charlie collapsed on the couch.
